Former captain of the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah has issued an official statement to debunk claims made on social media by 22-year old Ghanaian lady, Ms Nana Abena Korkor Addo, that she has had sexual relationship and sexual affairs with him, during which she suggested that the former Juventus is weak in bed.
Abena Korkor, whose blog site describes her as a “Ghanaian media personality”, took to her official Twitter Account to bash the former Ghana skipper, along with Ghana’s all time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan of having an affair with her in the past, and that she should not be expected to keep that away from the public.
In an obscene post, featuring the ‘f’ word, Abena claimed that she cares not whether Stephen Appiah and Gyan are married men, for “I am also a person”. She actually Asked both Appiah and Gyan to step up their performance in bed.
“F**k them being peoples’ husbands’ I am also a person. As I said , I am@doing as I wish like they did. They can continue suit. You know very well I don’t keep sexual secrets then u come to my garden. @ASAMOAH_GYAN3 and @StephenAppiah step up your game!”, her tweet read on Wednesday.
In response to the wild allegation, Stephen Appiah, arguably Ghana’s most revered captain of the Black Stars in recent years, issued a statement to deny the allegations, describing it as “not only false, basely and unfounded, but they are also mischievous and fanciful conjectures of the said author”.
He stated, “My attention has been drawn to viral publications on social media suggesting that, I have had an amorous relationship with one Miss Abena Korkor. The said publications are not only false, basely and unfounded, but they are also mischievous and fanciful conjectures of the said author”, Appiah’s statement read.
He stressed , that the move is a calculated attempt by Abena to darken his “hard won reputation, both at home and abroad”. He firmly denied the allegations, and entreated his family, fans and loved ones to treat it with the contempt it deserves.
