Afrobeats singer Wendy Shay has clarified the rumors surrounding a potential diss track aimed at manager and CEO of Ruff Town Records, Bullet.
The artist recently had a disagreement with Bullet over contract renewal, leading to some tension between them. Despite not working with Ruff Town Records for a few weeks, Wendy Shay released a song titled ‘Who Cares’ during this period of disagreement.
The song ‘Who Cares’ by Wendy Shay was released during her disagreement with Bullet, as stated by Bullet in a June 2024 Instagram post.
While praising Sammy Flex for his exceptional management of Shatta Wale, Bullet also mentioned the challenges faced by artist managers in the industry.
“I celebrate you Sammy Flex, you are my best manager of the year. Forget everybody and chop your money. Me sef dem drop diss dong give me but who cares,” he stated.
Continuing with the same reports, Wendy Shay discussed in an interview with DJ Slim that their disagreement was about a 360 Record Label Deal that Bullet did not agree with.
Despite initial conflicts, with the assistance of industry elders, they have managed to overcome their differences and maintain musical collaboration.
“I had an issue with Bullet, but thanks to the intervention of some elders, that has been resolved. I am now back to working with Bullet,” she stated.
Bullet emphasized that the conflict between them was not staged for publicity, underscoring his reputation a respected producer who avoids unnecessary drama.
He acknowledged that disagreements are a natural part of human relationships but reassured that they are actively working towards resolving their issues.
