Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum, the CEO of Askof Productions Limited and organizer of GOWA Awards, Miss Kidi Ghana, and Teen Queen Ghana, is planning to make an attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual in December.
Ms Aduonum submitted her application to break the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual in December and has received approval from the Guinness World Record board.
Ms Aduonum has successfully applied to break the current record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. She is aiming to sing for more than 117 hours, surpassing the previous record of 105 hours set by Sunil Waghmare in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012.
In a video shared on her Instagram, Ms Aduonum expressed her intention to break the current record for the longest individual singing marathon.
Her goal is to sing for over 117 hours, surpassing the previous record set by Sunil Waghmare in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012. Ms Aduonum also mentioned that one of her motivations behind this challenge is to promote Ghana music globally.
“This attempt is strictly for Ghanaian songs, we’re doing this to promote Ghanaian songs, from gosple, highlife, hiplife name it.”
Although she did not provide a specific date, she mentioned that the singathon will take place sometime in December.
