The AfroFuture Festival, set to take place in Accra, Ghana on December 28th and 29th, is expected to attract individuals passionate about African culture.
The headlining acts for the festival include Afrobeats sensation Davido, UK rapper J Hus, and Ghana’s own Black Sherif, making for an impressive lineup.
Previously known as Afrochella since its inception in 2017, AfroFuture has consistently showcased top-tier talent, including past performers like Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Fireboy DML.
The month of December in West Africa is known for its vibrant travel and celebratory activities, often referred to as “Detty December.” AfroFuture is not merely a music festival; it’s a multi-dimensional experience that encompasses art, fashion, food, and a strong thematic focus on “Black Unification & Pan Africanism.”
Kicking off on December 18th, AfroFuture will offer a two-week expo featuring wellness sessions, screenings, and panel discussions. Additionally, the festival plans to host an entrepreneurial pitch competition in partnership with Pharrell Williams’ non-profit organization, Black Ambition. As part of its diverse program, AfroFuture will also include a film competition and a community service day.
With an impressive lineup and a rich array of cultural and educational activities, AfroFuture is gearing up to be a memorable celebration of African music and culture, drawing people from across the diaspora and beyond to the vibrant city of Accra.
