On the occasion of the launch of the northern regional chapter of the Patriotic Health Team (PHT) on April 2, 2022, at the Tamale Youth Home conference hall, Dr. Charles Dwamena, PHT’s live patron and national treasurer hopeful for the NPP shared some nuggets of wisdom with attendees.
He re-emphasized his long-held belief that we require an NPP-led government to run mother Ghana for at least four consecutive terms to transform the fortunes of this country.
He also made the point that the party that will win the 2024 elections will be the one that has the most empowered base. As such, Dr. China sees setting resources aside party resources to empower the party’s youth as an invaluable investment.
The former deputy ambassador of Ghana to China indicated that the Human Resource Empowerment Program (H-REP) – which is geared towards funding the education and businesses of the party’s base – and the Political Mentorship Programme (PMP) – which aim at mentoring party youth to become ready to take up leadership responsibilities – are some of the great vehicles proposed to help attain an empowered party grassroots.
He explained that the full implementation of proposals like these start with the election of party executives who are willing to use party resources for the development of the grassroots and the youth for that matter.
He finally charged the audience to get themselves ready to take up opportunities as and when they are available.
