Bawumia,Alan reportedly having a keen interest in contesting for NPP’s flagbearership race

A founding member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe has boldly revealed why the Vice President, Dr. Bawumia cannot be elected as the Flag Bearer for the NPP going into 2024 elections. When asked if he thinks Bawumia can win the flag bearer position of the party, Nyaho Tamakloe revealed that Bawumia cannot come to power.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with TV3 today, Mr. Nyaho Tamakloe revealed that Bawumia is not fit to come to power that is, he’s not fit to lead the NPP as flag bearer because he’s just a praise singer. He doesn’t point out and tells Akufo-Addo where he’s going wrong but he only praises him and makes it look like everything is fine.

He further added that,

“I know Bawumia very well. Indeed, I was one of his backbones when he was elected as [running mate] some years ago when Akufo-Addo told me that…in Akufo-Addo’s own house, he called me aside and said I should support Bawumia because people wanted him to change Bawumia. “Myself, late Aliu Mahama we gave the protection. We went to his place at Bimbilla all the way there to Mamprusi area we travelled with them all over those places.

He explained that the Vice President has been a praise singer of the president during his political career.

“Bawumia…I did an interview. It was a foreign
magazine. I will find out if I have a copy and I will show it to you where I made plain that by the structure of our party, Bawumia cannot come to power.

“Bawumia is a fine gentleman. If Bawumia could have had that independent mind and strength and not just always praising what the president has done or has not done, I will have looked at him differently.Nyaho Tamakloe boldly revealed this to Johnnie Hughes on TV3 New Day.
