Arsenal’s Forward,Eddie Nketiah hoping to switch nationality to Ghana.
The Ghana Football Association has made contact with the family of the Arsenal forward over a possible switch of international allegiance for the 22-year-old.
Born to Ghanaian parents in the United Kingdom, Nketiah has represented the country of his berth at the youth stage.
The Black Stars qualified for the Mundial after they edged West African rivals Nigeria in a nail-biting World Cup play-off staged over two legs. That has boosted the chances of the West African country to convince the Gunners youngster to join them for the ride in Qatar later this year.
But Nketiah is still eligible to make a switch as he is more likely to play regularly for the Black Stars than for senior national team of England where there’s an embarrassment of riches in his position. Born to Ghanaian parents in London, Nketiah has also played for England at the U18, U19 and U20.
Meanwhile, Black Stars deputy captain Thomas Partey has charged Eddie Nketiah to make a decision on his international future by choosing Ghana.
