All Nations University Branch Of TESCON Holds Handing Over Ceremony

All Nations University branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) has held its handing over ceremony to usher in new executives for the year 2022 academic year.

The colorful ceremony was held on Saturday 19, 2022. At main campus, Akwadum.

The ceremony attracted a sizeable number of patrons and dignitaries including ;

Hon. Okyere Baafi MP New Juabeng South and Deputy Minister of Trade. Hon. Osei Adjei. Boss of NCA- Eastern region, Professor Ekumfi incoming National Chairman, Jerry Osei Opoku JOP. Boss of Youth Employment and Eastern Regional Youth Organizer.Hon. Jeffrey Addo. Eastern Regional Secretary and incoming Eastern regional Chairman. Hon. Awuf Vice President of TEIN and his executives

Speaking at the event, the newly elected President of the Association, David Fi-Emisar Arhinful divulged the impulse of the executives to build a stronger work force done by their predecessor’s, more lights were thrown for the good works of the incumbent government, to build a formidable force to keep the party in power and also to break the eight year cycle in bringing sustainability & development to Ghanaians.

David Fi- Emisar Arhinful. New Tescon President ANU, We are overwhelmed of how far TESCON has brought us. We never thought of making it this far. We will continue to do the good work our predecessor did and improve and make TESCON the most vibrant party on campus

However, the chairman for the occasion, Hon Micheal Okyere Baafi enlightened much relevance on the need of the youth in nation-building & called on them to be active in campus politics.

He also said, as students, we should never think our hard work in students affairs will never pay off, if you’re a student and you really want to rise to that far you should be loyal, committed and hardworking. I never saw myself becoming a state man in my school age but here I’m in this position. We should work hard and appreciate the little we have as we are doing this student politics. A time will come, it will pay off.

Guest Speaker, Professor Ameyaw Akumfi, former Director General of GES and also incoming National Chairman for New Patriotic Party also gave his thought’s ;

I was so gald when I saw the enthusiasm and will power I saw in the students as I entered the room. We should encourage ourselves that, we are working for the NPP party and we love the party. If the party will stand, our support as young people really pays. You’re the future of the party so let us work harder”

Professor Ameyaw also said, we should encourage ourselves as we are in this game of student politics and we should furnish ourselves with information so we can stand and defend the polices of the government. We should know more about the e-levy and how beneficial it would be to the youth. Propaganda doesn’t build a country.
